SCI-FI QUEER ECOLOGIES WITH ADHAM FARAMAWY 27.07.2022

SCI-FI QUEER ECOLOGIES WITH ADHAM FARAMAWY

27.07.2022

Join us 27.07.2021 for an informal discussion on ‘Queer Ecologies’ led by artist Adham Faramawy

For this reading group, Faramawy will discuss two sci-fi classics, the comic book Swamp Thing and excerpts from Ursula Le Guin’s The Word for World is Forest.

Adham Faramawy is an artist based in London. Their work spans media including moving image, sculptural installation and print, engaging concerns with materiality, touch, and toxic embodiment to question ideas of the natural in relation to marginalized communities.

The selected texts will be provided ahead of this reading group.
Attendees are expected to have read the designated works to take part in the discussion.
