This workshop will be encompassing and giving thanks to the queer that we all adore that helped transform the scope of LGBTQIA+ rights to be recognised, accepted and respected. We’re all queer icons in the making – but this still comes at a cost of grief, loss, discrimination, microaggressions, abuse and more.
Recognising the people you love for their amazing contribution to their community, their friends or family can be such a pick-me-up, especially within the new year. The workshop will touch on ROOT-ed current exhibition at the Tetley called Retrospect, Reality and Reform, which addresses societal, historic and cultural themes of identity, ancestry, queerness, anti-racism, sisterhood and home.
