Intro to the Kiki Scene / House of Juicy Couture

A workshop hosted by the Kiki House of Juicy Couture diving into the origins of ballroom culture and its inception. Reaching back from the 70s until the birth of the Kiki Scene in the 2000s.
We’ll be looking at the structure of the ball and the most active categories today, breaking them down with live demonstrations. We’ll look back in time at ballrooms from US to UK.
Members of different houses will also talk about the house structures that exist and have a Q+A discussion about their experiences in ballroom.
