Ola (they/them) is a queer Latinx peer who joined the Queercircle as Gallery Manager. Their focus is to support emerging artists and develop tools to help build a future in a city like London. In between artist & gallery management, curation, ecology and performance, Ola works across multidisciplinary platforms such as queer parties like Riposte and artist residencies like FiBRA.

 

Prone to promoting under represented groups and giving more space to them, Ola’s mission is to open up QUEERCIRCLE exhibition space to new LGBTQIA+ artist-led groups and individual artists. Especially via the curation of the CATALYST programme aimed at giving a platform and providing curatorial guidance and technical support to artists and groups who have not yet had this experience. 

 

Ola ensures members of the CATALYST get the exposure they deserve amongst que Queer art scene and the art world in general. In their free time, you can find Ola growing food in community gardens, visiting exhibitions, supporting protests and partying at queer raves all night!
