HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER - BHATT MURPHY

I’m a human rights lawyer working with people detained by the state or challenging state misconduct. I focus particularly on the rights of women and LGBTQI people. In this role I’m a partner at a law firm called Bhatt Murphy. I live and work in East London.

I believe art and artists can challenge power and be a force for social change. We need this today as there is a widespread reaction to massive social justice movements such as Black Lives Matter and the trans equality movement. We have an opportunity for real systemic changes.
