• QUEERCIRCLE is teaming up with Camp Books, Black Hair Stories, Black Fly ZineStrange Perfume, Grrrl Zine,  and PageMasters for a Queer Zine Makers Takeover in JANUARY 2023

  • Want to be a part of our upcoming exhibition?

  • We invite makers from around the world to send us their zines! Everyone will be featured. There’s no criteria, no theme, no judgement.

We want to unite independent makers from around the world in our exploration of the importance and power of Queer Zines.

Visitors will be able to access the exhibition from Thursday 12 January until Sunday 5 February 2023.

At the end of the exhibition, all submissions will live on in our library for the community to enjoy all year round.

    What is a ‘zine’?

Zine, pronounced “Zeen”,  is “short for 'magazine'.

Zines are an independent / self-published creation, often taking the form of a handmade booklet printed in small circulation. Zines can cover many subject matters and have historically been a platform for creative marginalised or isolated groups of people to express their ideas, document experiences, share DIY methods, and build communities.
