AntimonuMeth: A VR Experience / Eugenio Echeverría
15.07.2023
12 - 5.30 PM
Join us for the groundbreaking VR experience, AntimonuMeth, by artist and activist Eugenio Escherria. This thought-provoking 16-minute VR journey consists of 5 interactive levels, focusing on substance abuse among gay and bisexual men.
Explore the crisis of meth consumption in the LGBTQ+ community, drawing parallels with the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 80s and 90s. Through the fusion of art and technology, Echeverria raises awareness and sparks conversations about substance use, sexuality, intimacy, and societal expectations.
Taking place from July 11 to July 25, 2023, at various locations including Fitzrovia Chapel, Dalston Superstore, and Queercircle in Greenwich, this VR experience prompts reflections on systemic violence, stigma, and addiction. It offers healing and examines affective and sexual-affective bonds within the homosexual community.
Although the event is free, we encourage booking slots and supporting the Número de Serie GoFundMe campaign. Donations will fund additional activities addressing crystal meth consumption in LGBTQ+ individuals.
Join us on July 15th from 12 PM to 5:30 PM for this transformative experience. See you there!
