In the height of the covid pandemic we launched our online platform and Artists in Conversation series. It was an opportunity to bring people together at a time of social restrictions and increasing isolation. Each month an artist was commissioned to invite three people for conversations. These included friends and peers, whilst others chose to connect with those who informed their practice. In 2023, we continued this series, with a focus on artists exploring ecology and the environment which was complimented by partnering with Serpentine Galleries on their symposium, Queer Earth and Liquid Matter.
Since then, convening people for conversations and discussions has started to become a central component of our programming. We facilitate discussions on difficult topics such as grief and shame through creative activities, alongside programmes that foster the sharing of viewpoints and knowledge on the most pressing issues of our time, as with our programme, Gathering with Palestine.
In-Conversation consists of in-person gatherings and an online archive of previous discussions.
