    Donate to the library today!

During September, we're inviting our community to donate books, zines, recipes, sounds, texts, and other forms of community knowledge.

The library will live on beyond next season’s programme, providing a radical home for banned books, out-of-print texts, zines, oral histories, and community-generated knowledge, embodied, shared, remembered, and lived. Donate the things that helped you find yourself, your people, your politics, your power. What made you feel liberated, sexy, inspired, angry, or ready to take action.

    Why it matters

Queer stories have been censored, erased, and pushed out of official archives for generations. As book bans and attacks on LGBTQIA+ events, spaces, and information intensify, we must build and defend our own spaces, preserving queer knowledge, sharing our histories, and creating the resources, networks, and communities we need to resist, organise, and survive.
We want this library to grow from what our communities are calling for, and to reflect the knowledge, histories, and futures we want to protect and share.
  • HOW TO DONATE

    1. Tell us what you'd like to donate using the form via the link below.
    2. You can then drop off your donation in person, send it to us via post, or upload your digital file (details in the form).
    3. If you would like, we'll also invite you to write a short note on why the book, zine, sound, or text matters to you. These recommendation cards will live with your donation, so future readers can discover the story behind each item.

If you don’t have something to donate but have a suggestion for us to source, please fill out this form.

  • From 10th October, you'll be able to visit and use the library in our main space, and take part in workshops, listening sessions, and events running throughout the season. More on those very soon.
